About me...

As a young man I attended the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Art and Filmmaking. The earlier part of my career was dedicated to illustration, print and publication design, commercial art and later computer generated animation. I served as an Art Director for national companies and at one point owned my own advertising agency. As life goes sometimes I drifted from commercial art and eventually founded a national company that was not related to art. This successful episode lasted for nearly 25 years. I grew to think that art was a long lost part of my life. In the year 1999 my life changed dramatically and after a year of self-exploration I decided to give the art world a chance again. I knew my life had been forever changed. I did not realize that I had so many years of creativity bottled up inside me. These changes lead to a release of artistic energy that is still going today.

I set out to create sculpture as well as paintings and multi media works with vigor that I have never known before. This led me to search the roots of the world of the sculpture in Europe and here at home. I participated in many workshops with some of the best sculptors and instructors and have gleaned what I think is the essence of each of their styles and techniques and converted this knowledge to my own technique.

Starting my sculpting career later in my life I have been able to bring a passion that I hope you will embrace in your own work. If you participate in one of my workshops I hope you will bring your passion and desire to create a dynamic figurative sculpture that is truly yours. These workshops are designed to be a group effort where we can all share our thoughts and experience. You may find an extra secret, tip, technique and the motivation to continue creating exciting figurative sculpture.

Come join us for one of these relaxed, but sculpturally intense sessions. I really look forward to working along side you, sharing experiences and giving the benefit of my knowledge and experience.
